Fashion brand Coast has appointed Kate Bostock as Chief Executive Officer as it seeks to develop its omni-channel strategy.

Bostock, former head of Head of Clothing for Marks & Spencer, will join in September and will work closely with Chairman Derek Lovelock and the senior management team.

Coast, which sells wedding, prom and engagement party clothing and is owned by Aurora Fashion, has 185 concessions in the UK and Ireland.

Derek Lovelock, Chairman of Coast, said that Bostock was a perfect choice for the brand.

He said: “(Kate‘s) experience in meeting customers‘ demands and in product development, allied with her expertise at leading teams and implementing strategic plans will be invaluable to Coast.”

Having left ASOS in July after admitting that “it wasn‘t the right place,” Bostock has returned to the high-street.

She said: “I am thrilled to be joining Coast, a brand that I love. It has a unique proposition with huge potential for the future both in the UK and internationally, as well as a very successful online channel. I see a real opportunity to broaden the brand‘s offering to appeal to women of all ages who want to find the perfect outfit for any occasion.”
