Londis is the latest retailer to sign up for Pricer Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs) and follows in the footsteps of Tesco and Dixons who are trialling the technology.

The ESLs, which has been implemented at Londis Etwall, uses technology similar to e-readers and displays price and product information at the point of purchase. The technology enables store owners to make timed promotional updates and automatic pricing which offers potential for bigger shopper baskets.

Dee Sedani, who owns the Etwall store, says: “(The ESLs) increase my profits, generating a quick return on investment for the ESL technology that Herbert installed in my store.”

Raj Sangha, Business development Manager at Herbert, commented “Adaptive merchandising strategy is key to increasing profits and offering the customer the best possible deal locally. The Pricer ESLs that we installed at this Londis store, adds real value to the convenience retailer.”

Pricer announced in December that it had installed its 100 millionth ESL label and exhibited its SmartTAG HD Small at the NRF Big Show.
