Following the recent appointment of a new CIO, House of Fraser has announced the appointment of Colin Elliot as Chief Financial Officer with effect from 1 May 2015.

Following eight successful years as CFO of House of Fraser, Mark Gifford will remain with the business until the end of September 2015, in order to ensure a smooth transition. Colin Elliot will join the Board reporting to Nigel Oddy, CEO.

Colin Elliot, a chartered accountant, has over 25 years‘ experience, most recently as Group Finance Director of De Vere Group, the hotels and leisure business. Colin has previously held a number of senior positions including Chief Financial Officer of Malmaison Hotels, Chief Operating Officer for Whitbread in its international hotels and restaurants division and Finance Director of Premier Inn. Colin benefits from over 12 years‘ experience in finance director positions, with significant exposure to operating complex global businesses in the consumer and leisure sectors.
