The deputy chief executive of Shop Direct has resigned after seven years with the company.
Gareth Jones will leave his position at the end of the year, and according to Retail Week, it is believed he does not have another position lined up.
“Now is the right time for me to explore other opportunities and do something different for me and my family,” Jones said in a statement.
Until a replacement is found and appointed to the board, Jones will take care of Shop Direct’s trading, marketing and ecommerce and Very Exclusive.
Shop Direct also poached Sasha Berson, Groupon‘s EMEA chief marketing officer and vice president, to head up the company’s group strategy and customer direction.
He will sit on the board and will join Shop Direct in September.
