Two new H&M-owned stores are set to open in Bristol in time for the Christmas shopping season, with one of them being the second store of its kind in the UK.

Fashion retailers Cos and Monki have signed up to open new shopfronts at Cabot Circus, making their regional debut in the south west.

Monki‘s new 3500 sq ft shop on Concorde St will be the brand‘s first step outside of London and into a key regional city. 

The store‘s design will based on the Monki World concept, complete with “Forgotten Forest” fitting rooms, “Sea of Scallops” scallop-edged counters and a fashion range described as “street-style-meets-Scandi-chic apparel”.

Meanwhile, minimalist womens and menswear retailer Cos will open up a 5900 sq ft store in Quakers Friars that will apply a modern architectural design concept which preserves the historic 13th century building‘s original features.

Founded in 2006, Monki has opened 110 stores in 13 countries across Europe and Asia. Its made its debut in the UK in 2012 on London‘s Carnaby St.

Cos was established a year after Monki in 2007 – but already has a strong presence in the UK with 15 stores.

These signings mark key regional debuts for the H&M Group brands as they focus on strengthening their presence in the UK‘s leading retail destinations. 

Cabot Circus is jointly owned and operated by Hammerson on behalf of the Bristol Alliance.
