The Fragrance Shop has announced its plans to open over 15 Sniff Bar sites this year, following a successful launch of their new customer experience initiative.

The Sniff Bar is a stand-alone perfume bar which is designed to create an adventure for customers as they receive both a physical and digital experience.

The Sniff Bar allows consumers to chat with a consultant rather than having to email them.

The Fragrance Shop said it was currently searching for new locations to roll out the concept.

Meanwhile, the new initiative is already seeing a 30 per cent higher conversion volume compared to in-store, as customers are interacting 3.5 times more than they would in-store.

The Fragrance Shop said Sniff Bars were attracting 66 per cent more new customers compared to itss direct online channel, and average transactions were more than 15 per cent higher than direct online and over 30 per cent higher than an in-store purchase.

“Following a strong performance from our new Sniff Bars, I am looking forward to rolling out our new disruptive digital fragrance bars to various locations across the UK in 2019,” The Fragrance Shop chief executive Sanjay Vadera said.

“We are currently looking for suitable locations and cannot wait for people to experience the variety and quality on offer, and the expertise of The Fragrance Shop team.”

The Sniff Bars will sell 100 products from brands such as Bvlgari, Calvin Klein, Chloe, Diesel, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs, Loewe, YSL & Paco Rabanne.
