// Small was CFO of JD Sports for 15 years until last year

Boohoo has appointed Brian Small, the former chief financial officer of JD Sports, as independent non-executive director with immediate effect.

The new appointment follows Boohoo’s trading update where revenues increasing by 48 per cent for the year ended February.

Small joins from JD Sports, where he served 15 years ago until October last year when he retired from executive roles.

“Brian’s background and expertise in the retail industry will be a strong asset to the board,” Boohoo group executive chairman Mahmud Kamani said.

“We look forward to benefitting from his extensive knowledge of the sector as we continue to increase our footprint and drive future growth.”

Small will also chair the group’s audit committee.
