White Stuff has appointed The Body Shop managing director for US, Toby Milton, to the newly created position of multichannel director.

Milton worked with L’Oreal for over five years, before joining The Body Shop as managing director.

He will join office in October, and will be responsible for delivering a “consistent customer experience and trading stance” across all the company’s channels including in-store, online, wholesale and marketplaces.

“We are committed to delivering amazing customer experiences no matter how they choose to shop,” White Stuff chief executive Jo Jenkins said.

“Toby’s extensive multichannel experience and proven track record growing international brands will allow us to do this to the very highest standard.”

White Stuff’s total sales edged up 2.6 per cent in the year to April 27, although profits were hit by more investment in online marketing and increased discounting.
