Burberry has opened the doors of a new Paris flagship on Rue Saint-Honoré – the first standalone store in the region to feature the luxury retailer’s new global design concept.

The new three-storey flagship has been designed in collaboration with architect Vincenzo de Cotiis, and features mirrored ceilings with intersecting metallic grids and tiled chequerboard floors.

“We’re very excited to welcome our customers to our new flagship store on Rue Saint-Honoré,” said Burberry chief commercial officer Gianluca Flore.

“The store represents all that we stand for as a brand – being authentic, bold and creative – and we look forward to inspiring our customers with a truly elevated British luxury experience in this iconic setting,” Flore added.

The ground floor presents the full range of Burberry accessories and the first and second floors are dedicated to menswear and womenswear.

The third and final floor features a unique apartment, “which remains the biggest private in-store area across Burberry worldwide.”

As the first of its kind to be created within the new global design concept, the apartment offers “a bespoke luxury in-house experience.”

To mark the opening, Burberry will be staging a citywide takeover with projections of its new birch brown check, with projections featuring on a series of Paris landmarks, check-adorned London taxis offering a Tour de Paris.
