Monsoon has opened the doors to its latest boutique store, at 290 Upper Street, Islington, after the successful launch of boutique locations in Bath, Edinburgh and Cambridge over the last year.
The womenswear retailer is continuing the expansion of its boutique portfolio with the London opening and in line with its strategy to open elevated retail spaces in London’s ‘villages’ and select market towns, the shop has a prominent position on one of Islington’s best retail streets.
Located within a former pub, Monsson said it offers “a calm space” in which customers can discover the full range of its women’s collections.

It marks the second London opening in a few months for the retailer, after the launch of a Vintage pop-up on Portobello Road last month to celebrate the retailer’s 50th anniversary.
Between Monsoon and Accessorize there are now 23 London stores and four more are planned for the rest of this year.
The next opening will be a beach season-focused travel store at Waterloo Station later this month.
Buying and merchandising director Naomi Robertson said: “In our 50th anniversary year, it is fun to be expanding our physical retail presence again.
“Our new boutique format has received a warm welcome with our recent store openings, and we’re looking forward to our new presence in Islington and serving our great north London customer base.”
