Since its service was taken virtual during Covid-19, Waitrose has now relaunched its popular Wine Tasting at Home ‘in-person’ experience.

The experience, costing £35 per person, allows customers and their guests to discover the fundamentals of wine tasting from inside their own home.

Six bottles are delivered prior to the tasting for sampling during the session and the service also includes an expert Waitrose partner being on hand to guide guests through each wine and the relevant food pairings.

Waitrose will also host a  a full Q&A session at the end of the experience and to support demand, it has trained up nearly 50 Waitrose partners by supporting them through their Level 2 Wine Spirit Education Trust qualifications.

Waitrose drinks experiences manager Andrew Riding said: “We know how much our customers enjoyed our drinks experiences, from gin and cocktails to wine tasting, which is why it was important to us to be able to continue these virtually over the past two years.

“But now in-person tastings are back and we are delighted to bring these experiences to people in their own homes. It’s also a great way to reconnect teams at work as we return to the office once again.”
