Zalando has hired the former Walmart executive Padmaja Bommareddy as its new senior vice president of corporate development.
Bommareddy will be tasked with “identifying and executing on opportunities for the company that will help Zalando deliver on the existing platform strategy and beyond”.
She joins from US giant Walmart where she helped lead the apparel omnichannel strategy.

Zalando said she’s worked in Europe, Asia and the US “and will bring an important global perspective to the role”.
“We are delighted to welcome Padmaja to our team,” Zalando co-chief executive, Robert Gentz said.
“We are looking forward to working together on exploring new opportunities to further elevate our services and offerings and grow the company.”
