ISawItFirst.com founder Kamani exits after Frasers acquisition

// ISawItFirst founded Jalal Kamani has stood down following Frasers Group’s acquisition of the firm
// His sons Tayyub and Mustafa have also resigned as director alongside buying, merchandising and brand director Leanne Holmes

ISawItFirst.com founder Jalal Kamani has stepped down from the fast fashion retailer weeks after Mike Ashley’s Frasers Group snapped up the business.

Kamani leaves business that he set up in 2017 as his sons Tayyub and Mustafa also step down from their director roles, according to Drapers.

Frasers Group bought ISawItFirst.com for an undisclosed amount in late July.

The etailer was set up by Kamani, who is the brother of Boohoo co-founder Mahmud Kamani.

Jalal Kamani played a key role in the success of Boohoo, where he was trading director before his departure.

ISawItFirst.com buying, merchandising and brand director Leanne Holmes has also stepped down from the business.

Meanwhile, Stephen Mucklow, an associate of Frasers Group founder Mike Ashley, has been appointed director of ISawItFirst.com.

Mucklow was made a non-executive director of Studio Retail Group, which Frasers Group bought out of administration earlier this year.

ISawItFirst.com is the third big online retail acquisition made by Frasers Group, who is now run by Ashley’s son-in-law Michael Murray.

Alongside Studio Retail Group, Frasers snapped up Missguided out of administration for £20 million earlier this year.
