Tesco has promoted its F&F clothing arm chief executive, Jan Marchant, to managing director of home and clothing.

Marchant, who has led F&F clothing since July 2020, joined the grocer‘s clothing arm as buying director in 2007.

She was then appointed as design director in 2014, before becoming creative and digital director in 2017.

Earlier this month, Tesco said the number of customers purchasing its F&F clothing products has increased by 8% year on year in the 26 weeks to 27 August.

The Big Four supermarket chain said this was driven by shoppers looking for more affordable clothing options during the cost-of-living crisis.
