Waitrose to launch new £12 meal deal as shoppers opt to dine in during cost-of-living

// Waitrose to introduce new £12 meal deal as ongoing offer to help shoppers during cost-of-living crisis
// The retailer is banking on the increasing number of Brits deciding to dine in due to rising inflation

Waitrose is introducing a new meal deal offer to help shoppers make the most of their cash during the cost-of-living crisis.

The upmarket grocer is introducing its new Waitrose No.1 Dine In Meal Deal for 2 offer in stores from this week, which will cost £12 and include one main, one side and one dessert.

Shoppers will be able to choose from 11 mains, eight sides and six desserts as part of this ongoing meal deal.

Waitrose has launched new No.1 lines to be included in the meal deal, including Parmigiano Reggiano & truffle chicken kiev, tomato & mozzarella gnocchi bake, and mozzarella & basil pesto pantofola.

The retailer, which recently saw its like-for-like sales drop by 5%, is hoping the increasing number of families dining in to shop with the new offer, The Grocer reported.

It comes after it reported in August that 55% of Brits are going out for food and drink less compared to six months ago.

The news comes after Waitrose launched a Family Dine In offer during the summer “providing great value all-year round” – including a £10 pizza dine in deal that feeds a family of four.
