Despite fears of people spending less amid the cost-of-living crisis, the average transaction value for the retailer has risen 20% compared to last year.

“Customers are loving some of our more expensive styles,” Farrar-Hockley told the publication. “These typically have a higher-than-average retail price due to the workmanship required.”

The recent uptick in gift sales follows a strong performance in the retailer’s most recent financial year.

Kurt Geiger’s sales rose 21.9% to £234.3 million for the year ending January 29 driven by strong domestic and international growth in Europe and the US.
