Gymshark has confirmed it is axing roles at its North American headquarters in Denver, Colorado.

The move which will see 65 jobs cut is part of a wider business restructuring of its US arm.

A Gymshark spokesperson said: “We can confirm we are restructuring our US business, which will see the elimination of 65 jobs.

“We are taking this move purely for commercial reasons to centralise our operations and continue to safeguard the future of the business.

“Our priority right now is to help those impacted through this difficult time.”

The activewear brand opened its North American headquarters in 2021 in a bid to expand its US presence.

Last year, chief executive Ben Francis said the US was anticipated to account for half of the retailer’s global sales as it was on track to reach £250m in the year to July.

The activewear brand joins a growing number of online retailers which have reduced their headcount in recent months.
