Asda and Morrisons have started to drop the customer limits it imposed on certain fresh fruit and vegetables as supply issues start to ease.
Asda has dropped its limit of three per customer on broccoli, cucumbers, cauliflower, lettuce, salad bags and raspberries but has left the restrictions on tomatoes and peppers in place.

The supermarket told Sky News that availability had improved and supplies of tomatoes and peppers are expected to return to normal within a couple of weeks.
Morrisons has also followed suit in lifting its limits on cucumbers but restrictions of two per customers on tomatoes, lettuce and peppers remain in place.
The supermarkets joined Aldi, Lidl and Tesco in imposing purchasing limits on certain fresh fruit and vegetables last month following concerns of supply shortages caused by poor weather overseas.

I”m 70 and remember when fruit and veg was seasonal. So no tomatoes in Winter and we looked forward to their return in Summer. Winter was for potatoes & carrots & onions etc. Summer meant salads.
