Co-op bands with Uber Eats to offers rewards for its members

Co-op has partnered with Uber Eats to offer rewards to its members and their communities, from over 1,000 Co-op stores in July.

The group’s members will be able to earn their usual rewards while buying food through the Uber Eats app.

To take part, customers need to add their Co-op membership number into the Uber Eats app at the checkout, where they will then earn 2p for every pound spent on own-brand products.

The supermarket will also donate the same amount to help support community projects and local causes throughout the UK.

Members can choose or change the cause they donate to via the Co-op Membership App.

Uber Eats UK head of commerce Alex Troughton said: “It’s great to be able to build on our successful partnership with Co-op, and join forces to allow its Members to earn rewards, and support local community causes and organisations when they use Uber Eats.

“This is all about using our unique technology to deliver exactly what people want, when they want it and enable them to help out community causes that matter to them”.

The news comes after the Co-op launched a new member prices advertising campaign earlier this week, across TV, print, digital out-of-home, and in stores.
