Holland & Barrett extends café concession trial to London

Holland & Barrett is extending its café concession trial this summer as it plans a second site in London.

The health and wellness retailer will open another concession selling barista-made healthy teas and coffees at its store in Victoria, The Grocer reported.

The retailer launched its “market-leading barista drinks with benefits” trial at its Birmingham flagship store in November.

Customers are able to order a range of unique signature organic tees and coffees with added vitamins and health and wellness ingredients, focusing on supporting customers’ gut health, mental focus, energy and immunity.

This includes drinks like ‘Give me some sunshine Latte’ with espresso, ginger, turmeric, coconut mile, lion’s mane, manuka honey, zinc and vitamin B5 among others.

The retailer suggested it was considering expanding the service beyond the two test sites in the future after it registered ‘H&Bean’ as a trademark at the Intellectual Property Office last month,

A Holland & Barrett spokesperson told The Grocer: “We can confirm we are running a further operational trial of our coffee with benefits proposition in our store in Victoria, London, from mid-July.

“However, there are no current plans to extend the trial to more stores at this time.”

Holland & Barrett revealed last month it is investing more than £4m into its women’s health offer as it kicks off a new wellness campaign to raise awareness of women’s health issues.
