Moss, previously known as Moss Bros. before its recent rebrand, is gearing up to open its new flagship in Manchester’s Arndale Centre on August 3.

The formalwear retailer’s 3,082 sq ft store will take on the recent rebranding of the group and open as Moss, following a string of successful store openings in Watford and Oxford in the last six months.

Moss will feature the brand’s tailoring service Custom Made and contemporary new AW23 collection.

Moss chief executive Brian Brick said: “Our new store in Manchester is a celebration of everything Moss stands for today; modern British menswear and accessible style for all.

“We are excited to reintroduce the brand and our incredible AW23 collection to the discerning shoppers of Manchester, offering them a space to explore our product and experience our expertise first-hand.”

Back in May the business revealed plans to expand its store footprint and marketplaces offer after its profits more than doubled thanks to the continuing post-pandemic surge for formalwear.

Sales skyrocketed 63% to £151.6m for the 12 months to January 2023, up from £93.1m the year before.

EBITDA soared 112% from £17m to £36m for the year, boosted by a “significant” uptick in demand for casual wear.
