Sainsbury’s has added more than 40 new products to its Aldi Price Match Campaign, making it “the biggest yet”, with more than 400 items.

The range of products includes by Sainsbury’s soups, burger buns and bread, as well as Bramley apple pies.

The supermarket has also completed the roll-out of Nectar Prices, adding them to frozen food for the first time.

Further cost price savings have been passed on to shoppers as inflation begins to slow, including better value on popular products like Sainsbury’s cheese, fish fingers and toilet roll.

The retail giant is also expanding its Pocket Friendly Prices campaign to include 55 products throughout most of its convenience stores.

Earlier this year, the grocer also introduced its Stamford Street range, a brand housing all of its entry price point products.
