TikTok unveils new logistics programme for UK sellers

TikTok has introduced a new logistics programme designed to make it “easier” for merchants to sell their goods on the social media platform’s UK shop.

Taking a leaf out of Amazon’s book, which also offers fulfilment services to marketplace sellers, the “Fulfilled by TikTok” (FBT) service takes care of the “time-consuming” logistics so that merchants can focus on the other areas of their business.

Under the programme, TikTok Shop stores, picks, packs and ships sellers’ products to those who have made a purchase.

Sellers need to be based in and delivering to the UK to be eligible for the service, and packages must not exceed 30kg or a cubic volume of 31.5 cubic litres per shipment.

Various TikTok Shop UK merchants have already been testing the service, according to the social media platform.

TikTok Shop UK creator and merchant Sumayah said: “FBT has been a game changer for us, streamlining processes and improving our business.

“It significantly reduces lead time, enabling lightning fast order processing and delivery”.
