First look: Inside Boots’ first ever standalone beauty store

Boots has opened the doors to the first ‘Boots Beauty’ store at Battersea Power Station in London.

The launch of the new 11,200 sq ft shop comes as the health and beauty giant continues to transform its beauty offering, following the revamp of over 170 beauty halls across the UK over the last three years.

The new store houses 250 curated beauty brands across skin care, cosmetics, body care, hair care and fragrance catering to all budgets.

New brands including R.E.M Beauty, Kerastase, Shu Uemura and Bubble will be available in-store and online, joining Boots beauty line-up for the first time.

Head of beauty reinvention Jenna Ward said: “The new Boots Beauty store at Battersea Power Station provides a platform for us to test the latest brands and new service innovations before we introduce them to customers shopping in our stores across the country.”

“By combining Boots 175 years of pharmacy heritage with our market-leading beauty offering, we can offer accessible and holistic skin care expertise on the high street in a way that’s never been done before.

“The opening of this new store marks a major milestone in Boots transformation of beauty on the high street.”

Customers can watch regular masterclasses hosted by leading beauty brands, and visit a Beauty Bar delivering free express services from specialists.

The store also houses a Hair Bar that offers a professional scalp analysis service for support with hair damage and thinning hair.

Weekly hair demonstrations and styling services will be available from Dyson and Drybar.

The store features a new-concept Fragrance Discovery Bar with a refill station, interactive product display, and a digital fragrance finder to help customers find their perfect scent.

It also includes a dedicated beauty product recycling station and a free-of-charge gift wrap service.

Additionally, the store will be home to a new team of 35 Boots Beauty specialists.

For the first time, specialists can provide customers with free Skin Scan services using a Nexa skin imaging tool for in-depth analysis, advice and brand-neutral product recommendations.

In a Boots-first, the store will also offer Dermalux LED Light Treatment services, which uses light waves to accelerate natural skin regeneration and repair – customers can book an appointment via boots.com at a cost of £60 per treatment.

No7 will offer a range of services in the store, including its new Skin Solutions Service, which helps customers manage their skin concerns with a series of three free consultations over a twelve-week period using dermatologist-grade technology.
