Morrisons has cut the price of more than 400 food and household cleaning products and will lock prices for at least eight weeks.
The supermarket chain said its latest round of discounted products, most of which are available online, would “continue to help customers make their money go further” as they prepare for the summer months.
Dinner time staples including the retailer’s breaded frozen cod fillets, fries, red kidney beans and fajita kits have been reduced by up to a third, while popular snacks such as cheese curls and jaffa cakes have also undergone price cuts.
Additionally, household supplies including kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets and pet food have been hit with reductions.

Morrisons chief customer and marketing officer Darren Blackhurt said: “We know that the cost of grocery shopping is as important as ever for our customers and we remain committed to lowering prices without any compromise on quality.
“Today’s price cuts include ingredients for popular meals as well as household staples which will help customers spread their budgets as they start to think about the busy summer months ahead.”
Earlier this month, it was reported that Morrisons staff across two of its UK distribution hubs were set to take strike action in a dispute over pensions.
Members of Unite union who work at the supermarket’s Gadbrook and Wakefield warehouses, including stock controllers, cooks, canteen staff and administrators, voted “overwhelmingly in favour” for the two three days walkout, according to The Grocer.
