Sainsbury’s has resolved an issue with its card payment system, which impacted some of its in-store payments and same-day deliveries.
Shoppers had complained about the problems across social media, although it remains unclear how many shops and customers had been affected by the issues, according to the BBC.
The grocery giant has been responding to some customers directly via social media.
The supermarket previously claimed the problem had been intermittent since Thursday morning, and that it was continuing to work to resolve it.

A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said: “We have fixed a network issue which intermittently affected Smart Shop, some card payments in our stores and some of our same day delivery orders yesterday.
“We’re sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused, thank you for bearing with us.”
In March, Sainsbury’s CEO Simon Roberts issued an apology to customers after a software glitch disrupted its contactless payments, leaving thousands of shoppers without their food orders.
The supermarket said a technical glitch had affected its ability to fulfil the majority majority of online deliveries on 16 March, as customers slammed its “bad service”.
