Asos has expanded its tie-up with Hirestreet to launch a new subscription rental service for shoppers in what it dubbed “the biggest retailer-rental collaboration the UK market has seen to date”.

Hirestreet subscribers will be able to rent five garments per month for £75, and can choose from more than 20,000 Asos products.

Asos and Hirestreet have previously collaborated on a rental service, last year available across 180 of the fashion giant’s womenswear products.

The initial October drop of the new offering will emphasise weekend and party wear over the festive period. Categories including workwear, skiwear and spring summer 2025 collections are set to arrive at a later date.

The launch comes as the rental company said it had witnessed a “significant rise in demand for casual items” during the first quarter of 2024.

Hirestreet said: “The launch marks a step forward for the UK rental market – which has lagged behind the US in recent years when it comes to subscription rental.”
