Topshop is gearing up for the relaunch of its website, with three teaser videos posted on its Instagram account and the cryptic message “watch this space” to hint at the developments ahead.

It follows the appointment of Michelle Wilson as managing director of Topshop and Topman earlier this week, alongside a flurry of appointments and moves as Asos.

As part of her role, Wilson will oversee the global wholesale division, including partnerships with major players such as Nordstrom in the US, Reliance Retail in India, and Bestseller in Europe.

She is also focused on building a “dedicated cross-functional team” for the brand.

Following the new Instagram posts, hundreds of comments have already amassed with users eagerly asking for the famous fashion brand’s return to the high street.

Comments read: “Please say you’re opening stores again”, “begging you reopen high street” and “still miss your Oxford St store, spent hours in there”.

Meanwhile earlier this month, Moses Rashid, founder of the sneaker resale platform The Edit Ldn, was appointed as global marketing director for Topshop and Topman.

Rashid will lead the brand’s marketing strategy, aiming to re-engage customers globally and drive the relaunch of its standalone wesbite.

Last September, Asos sold a 75% stake in Topshop and Topman to Danish holding company Heartland for £135m, creating a joint venture.

Asos retained certain design and distribution rights to the brands, which will help it continue to market and sell them online, alongside its retail partnerships. The relaunch of Topshop.com is scheduled for summer 2025.
