Bravissimo CEO Leanne Cahill has stepped down following an internal restructure that will see the business more closely aligned with its new parent company Wacoal Europe.

The move comes just months after Wacoal Europe, which owns lingerie labels including Freya, Fantasie, Elomi and Wacoal, acquired Bravissimo in a deal that kept the brand operating as a standalone business from its Leamington Spa base.

Cahill, who has led the brand for the past five years, said: “I am so proud of every moment I’ve been part of Bravissimo and delivering our purpose to inspire confidence in our customers. I want to thank our amazing teams for everything they’ve achieved, and I wish them every success for the future.”

The retailer said that during her tenure, Cahill oversaw a doubling of Bravissimo’s underlying EBITDA despite the challenging retail landscape. Her leadership focused on customer experience and profitability, steering the brand through its transition into the Wacoal portfolio.

The lingerie specialist confirmed its senior leadership team will remain in place and will now be realigned with Wacoal Europe’s group management structure to strengthen collaboration across the wider business.

Wacoal Europe CEO Geoff Embley said: “We thank Leanne sincerely for her remarkable contribution, not only during her tenure as CEO but also throughout Bravissimo’s acquisition into the Wacoal family where her guidance and support have been invaluable.

“As we look to the future, we remain committed to preserving what makes both Wacoal Europe and Bravissimo unique and successful.”
