Boots is set to open its first ever fragrance-only boutique in London’s Broadgate Central this autumn.
The new 2,150sq ft Boots Fragrance store will offer a curated collection of over 400 luxury and niche scents, including UK exclusives and over 20 brands new to the retailer.
The health and beauty chain said new emerging British founder-led brands and niche international labels “will be brought together under one roof to celebrate the artistry and innovation of modern perfumery”.
The boutique has been designed to offer customers a reimaged, sensory-led retail experience featuring discovery zones and immersive experiences.
Trained fragrance specialists will be on hand to provide personalised consultations and tailored advice, as well as a premium concierge service and luxury gift-wrapping.
Boots director of fragrance Chelsey Saunders said: “Boots Fragrance boutique represents a bold step forward in how we bring fragrance to our customers.
“As the nation’s favourite beauty retailer, we’re proud to be creating a space that not only showcases the very best in luxury and niche perfumery, but also makes it more accessible, inviting and inspiring for all.”
It is not the first beauty-based concept store that Boots has opened, with the high street chain launching a 11,200sq ft beauty studio inside Battersea Power Station back in 2023.
Earlier this month, shareholders of Boots’ US-listed owner Walgreens approved a $10bn takeover deal by private equity firm Sycamore Partners.
The deal has thrown the future of the British pharmacy chain into doubt as the new owner is expected to consider a sale or spin-off of the retailer.
