Asos and adidas Originals have launched a new exclusive womenswear collection, marking a milestone moment in the long-running partnership between the two fashion giants.

Debuted on the catwalk in London last night, the collection will officially launch online on Tuesday 15 July.

Designed by Asos’ in-house team, it draws inspiration from classic adidas pieces while incorporating trend-focused silhouettes and contemporary styling.

The online fashion giant said the range “fuses exclusive colourways, bespoke fabrications, embroidery and trend-focused silhouettes against a backdrop of beloved 3-stripes history” — blending sports heritage with street style.

The collection includes summer-ready separates in rich burgundies and neutral tones, accented by vibrant blues and greens.

Classic adidas track sets have been reimagined in crochet knits and bold graphic prints, with looks styled alongside low-profile adidas trainers.

Asos executive vice president of brand and creative Vanessa Spence said: “This collection marks a bold next step in our long-standing relationship with adidas.

We’ve brought our customers exclusive trainer launches and fresh product drops, and now, we’re proud to pioneer this new way of working with one of our most trusted partners.

“To take adidas’ inimitable three stripes and incredible apparel handwriting and rework through our unique fashion lens is a privilege and marks the most exciting launch in the history of the partnership and also Asos’ history.”

The Asos design team said it immersed itself in adidas’ legacy, researching past collections and silhouettes to reinterpret them through the eyes of the retailer’s fashion-conscious customer.

Adidas North Europe VP brand Chris Walsh added: “At adidas, we’re always pushing the boundaries of sport and style. ASOS has been a valued partner in bringing that vision to life.

“This collection captures the creativity and energy both brands represent. We’re excited to continue this journey together with more drops in the seasons ahead.”
