Superdrug has named chief commercial officer Simon Comins as its new chief operating officer.
The retailer described the promotion as a “significant milestone” for the business and Comins’ 38-year career with the business.
Comins, who took up the new post at the start of the month, has worked his way up through the business in a variety of roles after starting as a part-time store assistant at 15 years old. He was promoted to chief commercial officer in 2022.
Comins will be responsible for joining Superdrug’s commercial and retail operations, while improving the retailer’s customer experience.
Superdrug chief executive Peter Macnab said: “Simon’s deep understanding of both our business and our customers makes him ideally placed to lead the next phase of our journey.
“His ability to drive innovation has already delivered fantastic results, from strengthening our commercial strategy to bringing new experiences for our customers to life.
“Simon will be central to ensuring our retail and commercial plans work hand in hand to create the very best experience for our customers.”
