Amazon has kicked off its first-ever UK sale dedicated to returned and refurbished products, offering shoppers discounts of up to 70% across tech, gaming, home, fitness, beauty and more.

The online giant‘s week-long event, Second Chance Deal Days, running from 3 to 9 September, features high-quality pre-owned items from brands including Xbox, Apple and Shark.

Highlights include the Xbox Series X for £350 (30% off RRP) and Apple AirPods 4 Wireless Earbuds for £110 (40% off RRP), alongside deals on Google Fitbits, De’Longhi coffee machines, Tower Air Fryers, Remington hair tools and Lumi sunrise alarms.

Amazon UK country manager John Boumphrey said: “We’ve seen that once customers experience the value and quality of these products, they become confident second-chance shoppers, saving money along the way and helping to extend product lifecycles. Our dedicated teams check every returned product.

“Customers can be assured that any used product they buy meets our quality standards and comes with Amazon’s customer service and return policies.”

The business said UK shoppers saved more than £110m last year by buying returned and refurbished items, which are inspected, tested, cleaned and repaired before resale.

Amazon Europe head of returns and repairs Sam Littlejohn added: “Our approach is simple. If a product can have a useful purpose, we want it to have a second chance. It’s great for our customers, Amazon and the planet.”

Products are available via the marketplace’s standard shopping pages, with clear labelling to show whether an item is new or used.

Pre-owned products are sold through Amazon Resale, which grades items from “Like New” to “Acceptable,” and Amazon Renewed, which offers professionally refurbished goods sold by qualified partners.
