Asda is set to launch its first ever charity TikTok Shop, designed to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month through its long-running Tickled Pink campaign.
From Monday 29 September at 9am, customers will be able to purchase an exclusive TikTok Shop bundle featuring nine family-favourite products – all in pink packaging – for just £7.17. The price has been chosen to represent the 1 in 7 women in the UK who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
Products in the bundle include Yorkshire Tea (160 bag pack), Mr Kipling Viennese Whirls, Nescafe cappuccino sachets, Chicken Super Noodles, Candy Kittens Eton Mess sweets, Pot Noodle Chicken and Mushroom, Diet Coke (330ml pink can), chocolate digestives, and Marmite.
All proceeds from the bundle will go directly to Asda’s Tickled Pink charity partners, Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel!, with the retailer expecting the offer to sell out quickly.
The TikTok launch is part of Asda’s wider Tickled Pink activity this year, its 29th campaign since the initiative began in 1996. More than 200 products across George, general merchandise, and everyday food and drink brands will carry special pink packaging in October. This includes Shreddies, Shloer Pink Bubbly, raspberry Jammie Dodgers, Itsu Bao Buns, and Fray Bentos Steak & Kidney Pie.
Matt Beane, head of FMCG at TikTok Shop UK, said: “We are delighted to have Asda on TikTok Shop for its launch of the exclusive Tickled Pink bundle. It’s great to see so many iconic brands in one bundle turn pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, supporting an incredible cause.”
Working with suppliers, Asda has ensured that 15% of Tickled Pink products carry breast check awareness messages on-pack. Drinks brand 7up carries the slogan “drink lemons, check your melons”, while Kit Kat encourages consumers to “Have a break, Have a check.”
This year also marks a major milestone, as Tickled Pink reaches £100 million raised over 29 years. Funds have supported breast cancer research, education, and support services in partnership with Breast Cancer Now and CoppaFeel!.
Emma Betts, Asda’s national charity partnerships manager, said: “We are proud to have so many of our suppliers supporting this year’s Tickled Pink campaign and turning their iconic brands pink.
“It’s set to be one of our biggest ever years with over 200 products available both in stores and online. This is an exciting year as we launch a first ever charity TikTok shop for Tickled Pink but also, it’s a celebration of raising over £100 million over the last 29 years.”
