Morrisons is rolling out a new “spend-stretch” promotion, available exclusively to More Card customers shopping in franchise stores that have adopted the supermarket’s loyalty scheme.
From 8 October, shoppers spending £15 or more in a participating franchise store will get an extra 1,500 More Card points.
The card allows customers to bank five points for every product they buy, when they scan their More Card or app.
Once customers save 5,000 points, they receive a ‘Morrisons Fiver’ which can be redeemed on a future shop in a Morrisons supermarket or on its website.
The move marks the latest milestone in the roll-out of the More Card loyalty scheme to franchise partners, which began in the summer.
Alongside the promotion, the grocer is further strengthening the franchise offer with the addition of over 200 new own brand lines over the next five weeks.
Morrisons head of retail for franchise Katharine Challinor said: ”Rollling out More Card in franchise stores is part of our commitment to driving value for our customers however they shop with us.
“This exclusive promotion is a significant opportunity for our franchise partners, as well as a celebratory moment for us as the More Card roll-out nears completion in these stores.”
In July, Morrisons launched its More Card prices for Deliveroo shoppers, following the roll out of its loyalty scheme on the delivery app earlier in the year.
Members of the supermarket’s loyalty scheme are able to access exclusive savings on selected products across fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and dairy and other essential items.
