Majestic Wine has relaunched its Wine Club and Lock It In subscription propositions.

The alcohol retailer, which recently launched a Christmas recruitment drive, has invested in transforming its online customer journey for its Wine Club members, making it easier for them to sign up, manage their subscription, and pause or cancel their membership.

Its new dedicated website has also added a host of new functionality, including the ability for shoppers to gift a Wine Club case to family or friends.

First-time buyers of Wine Club cases are now set to receive a special ‘welcome’ case, curated by the retailer’s Master of Wine, Jane Masters, along with a brochure introducing them to the club.

Wine Club members will also gain access to exclusive benefits, including in-store discounts, “spend and save” vouchers and free tickets to tasting events hosted by Majestic’s expert store wine waiters.

Additionally, Wine Club members receive a themed case of 12 exclusive bottles of red, white or mixed wines every three months, which are picked by its buying team and are not available to buy in Majestic stores.

Members can select from three different boxes at three different price points – £99, £149 or £199 – and receive food recipe pairings curated by professional chefs as part of their accompanying brochure.

They are also able to pause or cancel their membership at any time online, according to the business, and can share a case with a friend or family member.

Alongside its investment in the Wine Club, Majestic has enhanced its Lock It In offering, which provides customers with its best prices on some of its best-selling wines.

The service covers more than 70 of Majestic’s most popular white, rosé, red, Champagne and sparkling wines, with home deliveries scheduled every one to three months, in quantities of 12, 24, 36 or 48 bottles.

Customers can sign up online and “mix and match” the wines they include in their Lock It In orders.

The new option to curate your own cases also means customers can discover new wines while topping up on their go-to styles.

Majestic managing director Elizabeth Newman said: “We’re really proud of the subscription options we provide at Majestic, and these investments in modernising and enhancing our offering will make our Wine Club and Lock It In propositions even more accessible and convenient for our customers.

“Whether you’re discovering new styles as a Wine Club member, or topping up on your favourite wines through Lock It In, you’ll get the same Majestic white glove service – no gimmicks, no long contracts, just the highest quality wines at the best possible prices, delivered directly to your door.”
