Gap has unveiled a new collection inspired by football culture ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
The OuiGap collection was designed by Ouigi Theodore, the founder of The Brooklyn Circus.
It will be released on May 29 and pays homage to Haiti’s 1974 football team. It features a 74 motif, which appears on jerseys, jackets, knits and coordinated separates.
Mark Breitbard, President and CEO of Gap said: “Ouigi Theodore is a true collaborator and a culture shifter who understands that fashion is most powerful when it tells a story.”
“This collection bridges the gap between heritage style and the electric energy of football fandom and offers fans a way to express their passion with both soul and originality.”
The collection builds on its 2023 collaboration with the designer.
Theodore said: “Working with Gap on this collection feels deeply personal and truly full circle,”
“Football has shaped so much of who I am, from the meaning of community to the style and self-expression woven into the culture of the game. Being able to connect the intersection of culture and global sport through this collection, while honouring my Haitian roots, is incredibly meaningful.”
The retailer will also release a vintage inspired officially licensed collection, FIFA Classics, for the FIFA World Cup.
