Boots has been granted a Royal Warrant by Her Majesty The Queen, recognising its service as manufacturers and retailers of health and beauty products to the Royal Household.
The health and beauty retailer said the honour was a “very special” moment for the business and its colleagues across the UK.
Royal Warrants are granted to companies that have supplied the Royal Household on a regular basis for at least five years.
Boots managing director Anthony Hemmerdinger said: “We are incredibly proud to have been granted a Royal Warrant by Her Majesty The Queen.
“As a British brand that has been part of communities across the UK for generations, holding a Royal Warrant will always be very special for Boots.
“It reflects the trust people place in us every day and our long-standing commitment to providing great products and services for all.”
Boots has a long history of Royal Warrant recognition. It first received a warrant from Queen Elizabeth II on 15 July 1955 as a supplier of soap, before the honour was extended in 1958 to include agricultural and horticultural goods.
The retailer has also worked with Her Majesty The Queen since 2017 to support people who have experienced sexual harm.
Together with distribution partner charity In Kind Direct, Boots has provided almost 80,000 wash bags filled with toiletries for survivors to use after a forensic examination.
The business said the initiative was intended as a small gesture of comfort during an extremely difficult time.
