The annual Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity ran from 22 to 26 June.
This year it has hosted multiple panels from the industry’s best and brightest, including discussions from Primark, Sephora, and Coach.
As usual, the event has seen many of the industries top talent awarded for their hard work. With Cannes Lions coming to a close today, we take a look at some more winners from the festival.
Cannes LionHeart Award,
The Cannes LionHeart Award went to actress, presenter and philanthropist Oprah Winfrey.
Creative Data Lions
13 Lions were awarded from this category, two Gold, four Silver and six Bronze.
The Grand Prix was awarded to BCP’s ‘SOS POS’, which was created by Circus Grey Lima. It was a tool designed to assist phone theft victims by turning POS terminals into account-blocking stations.
Design
The Design category had 792 entries, with 26 Lions awarded: five Gold, eight Silver and 13 Bronze.
The Grand Prix was given to Apple’s ‘Apple TV Rebrand’. The marketing drive was designed b TBWA\Media Arts Lab, Los Angeles and Apple, Cupertino.
Digital Craft Lions
Digital Craft received 355 entries and 11 awards were given out – three Gold, three Silver, five Bronze.
Google’s ‘Project Genie’, which was devised by Google, Mountain View, won the Grand Prix.
Direct Lions
Direct Lions had 1321 entries. In this category 42 awards were given out; seven Gold, 13 Silver and 21 Bronze.
The top prize went to UVA App’s ‘Uva Uva Bombón’, a campaign devised by de la Cruz Ogilvy, San Juan.
Film Craft Lions
43 Lions were awarded from from 1433 entries in this category.
The Grand Prix went to ‘Your Way Out’ for Coinbase. The campaign was created by Isle of Any, New York and tries to challenge preconceptions about the financial system.
Industry Craft
Industry Craft had 649 entries. Out of those entries 18 Lions were awarded, two Bronze, five Silver and 10 Bronze.
The Grand Prix for this category was given to De’longhi’s ‘Tiny Coffee Shops’. The work was created by LOLA, Madrid and turned five coffee machines into miniature cafes.
Media Lions
Media Lions over 1400 entries and 45 awards were handed out – seven Gold, 16 Silver and 21 Bronze. Uber Eat’s ‘Build Your Own Super Bowl’ was awarded the Grand Prix. It was devised by Special, Los Angeles.
PR Lions
Another popular category, PR Lions has 1156 entries, with 37 Lions awarded – seven Gold, 12 Silver and 17 Bronze.
The Grand Prix went to ‘The KitKat Heist’ by Burson, London.
Social & Creator Lions
This category had 1413 entries and 44 Lions were awarded, eight Gold, 14 Silver and 21 Bronze.
Heineken’s ‘Could Have Been a Heineken’ walked away with the top prize. It was crafted by LePub, Milan.
