Tesco has launched the second season of its Tesco Kitchen content series, which aims to inspire more people to “cook with confidence”.
It was devised in partnership with social first creative agency Uncovered.
The seven part series is hosted by broadcaster Greg James and chef Seema Pankhania and features celebrity guests including comedian Ed Gamble, rugby player Joe Marler, Youtuber Chunkz and author Bella Mackie.
It will run on YouTube with cut downs appearing on Instagram and TikTok. Recipes featured in the series will be available on Tesco’s Real Food website.
Murray Bisschop, UK marketing director at Tesco, said: “After the great success of Season 1, we are absolutely thrilled to bring Tesco Kitchen back for a second season.
“We have an amazing line-up of guests, and we can’t wait for our customers to see the brilliant new dishes and entertaining moments Greg, Seema, and our guests cook up.”
Nina Landale, Head of Strategy at Uncovered, added: “The evolution of Tesco Kitchen highlights a major strategic shift we’re seeing, where brands are increasingly investing in developing their own content IP.
“This series is a fantastic example of collaborating with household names across the social space to showcase delicious, accessible cooking powered by Tesco. We’re excited to push the native storytelling even further this season and help each episode show up across Tesco’s owned channel mix.”
The retailer has also launched a competition, enabling shoppers to win one of 40 four star holiday to the Mediterranean.
To win, consumers need to make a “qualifying” purchase of £25 in-store or on-line with their Clubcard until September 1 to be entered into the competition
Destinations include Mallorca, Zakynthos or Dalaman and winners will also get £500 spending money and travel insurance.
This comes as the supermarket is offering a range of Taste the Med Clubcard Prices in store and offering shoppers who spend £60 plus in stores before August 16 a 5 per cent off cost of fuel at Tesco garages vouchers.
