British Garden Centre’s profits have soared in 2025, citing a year of investment, favourable spring weather and brick-and-mortar expansion.
The group, which is the UK’s largest family-run garden centre operator, reported an operating profit of £15.1m, as sales also jumped almost 30 per cent to £223.2m, an increase of £51m compared to 2024.
In the financial year, the business opened Gosforth, Shinfield, Gloucester, Northampton, Havant, Heighley Gate, Hayes and Rugby to its estate during the year, taking its total number of centres to 80.
“2025 was such a successful year for the group; this is thanks to the hard work, commitment and enthusiasm of every team member across our business,” said British Garden Centres owner and director Charles Stubb.
“With a larger estate, loyal customers and more improvements planned, we are well placed to keep growing while continuing to offer visitors enjoyable places to shop, eat and spend time.”
British Garden Centres managing director Amy Stubbs added: “As a family-run business, British Garden Centres continues to focus on long-term sustainable growth, investing heavily in its people, centres, and supply chain infrastructure.
“These financial results reflect the group’s resilience and its ongoing strategy to create inspiring destination spaces for gardeners and families across the UK.”
