The Entertainer has relaunched its construction toy brand Meccano, redesigning its logo and packaging.
Addo Play, The Entertainers’ design and distribution arm, redesigned Meccano’s instructions, making them simpler with step-by-step guidance and colour coded visuals.
As part of the relaunch, it has released 22 new sets across four different ranges, Meccano Makers (age 3+), Meccano Builders (age 5+), Meccano Masters (age 10+) and Meccano Pro (age 16+)
The new Meccano Maker’s sets include the 5 in 1 mega set and the 2 in 1 race car set. For its Meccano Builders line, Meccano and The Entertainer have unveiled the 3-in-1 pull back buggy and the 151-piece free play bucket.
Under the Meccano Masters range, the brand unveiled three new mini me sets and the makers toolbox, which contains 437 pieces. The Meccano Pro range features its Aston Martin Aramco F1 Race Car and Ducati Monster motorbike sets, which were unveiled earlier this year.
Andrew Murphy OBE, CEO at The Entertainer, said: “For more than a century, Meccano’s distinctive system of reusable parts, nuts, bolts and tools has empowered generations through authentic, hands-on construction experiences. As we celebrate 125 years of the iconic British brand, we’re delighted to reveal our four reimagined product ranges for future Meccano fans; ‘Makers’, ‘Builders’, ‘Masters’ and ‘Pro’.
“These ranges have been expertly created with all ages in mind, honouring the brand’s rich heritage whilst introducing new and innovative products to inspire the engineers of tomorrow. The Meccano sets combine the opportunity to enhance essential STEM skills with the collectible appeal of brands, such as our new partners Aston Martin Aramco and Ducati. We can’t wait for new and old Meccano fans to discover the future of Meccano, and enjoy a better way to build for the next 125 years.”
