The Cotswold Company trials free interior design service

News

The Cotswold Company has launched a free interior design service at five of its showrooms as it looks to attract more customers into its stores.

The three-month trial will run in Stamford, Harpenden, Knutsford, Tunbridge Wells and Stow-on-the-Wold, offering shoppers one-to-one consultations with trained interior advisers.

Customers will be able to get advice on furniture, room layouts, fabrics, finishes and colours, with the aim of helping them plan a room or bring together a wider home design.

“We know that shopping for furniture can often become a stressful task. We want to change that by providing more expert advice in our stores and offering more reasons for consumers to come in-store and shop with greater confidence,” said the Cotswold Company chief executive officer Ralph Tucker.

“This is another example of the steps we are taking to add more value before and after a purchase, as we continue delivering against our growth strategy.”

The launch follows the retailer’s other efforts to build its in-store offering, including upholstery hubs and its white-glove home delivery service.

The Cotswold Company has also recently announced a partnership with Marks & Spencer to sell a selection of its products online, alongside a collection developed with the National Trust.
