The Cotswold Company has announced plans to open its 17th showroom at 44 Foregate Street, Chester. 

The new location is expected to launch by the end of the year, creating seven new roles. 

The new showroom will occupy a Grade II-listed building with “rich local heritage”. 

Formerly a public house, the property is currently undergoing a transformation into a new 6,500 sq. ft. showroom. 

It will stock the brand’s range of best-selling products for all parts of the home. 

This includes its Chester, Inglesham, Elkstone Oak and Camille living and dining collections, alongside a built-in chair wall offering a wider range of seating options. 

In addition, the showroom will host The Cotswold Company’s new collection launched in collaboration with the National Trust. 

The collection will include two ranges that draw on architectural and historic design details identified by the Cotswold Company’s design team during research visits to National Trust properties based in the Cotswolds. 

Both will “combine the timeless antique-style design elements with modern functionality” to add “versatile, statement pieces to living spaces”.

Customers will be able to view seven bedroom settings, and explore freestanding kitchen furniture, office pieces, and a wide selection of accessories. 

The showroom will also host a ready-made curtain collection, dedicated lighting display and a mattress testing hub. 

This will sit alongside its fully integrated upholstery hub, providing full-length fabric options and dedicated consultation space for expert advice. 

The opening forms part of business’s strategy to broaden its footprint of showrooms across the UK.
