Footware brand Clarks has appointed ex Burberry president Thomas O‘Neill as Chairman of the group from 6 December.
O‘Neill will succeed current chairman, Peter Davies who reaches the end of his term in the role.
Melissa Potter, CEO of Clarks, said his “extensive experience” and “in-depth knowledge” in working with global retail brands made him a natural choice for the role.
She added: “As we welcome Thomas to his new role, I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Peter on behalf of the Board and the Company. Peter has successfully steered the Group through a period of major change during his time as Chairman and has offered us unstinting support and wise counsel. “
