Selfridges brings back Mr Men pop-up shop for half-term

Selfridges has announced the return of its Mr Men pop-up shop for a February half-term holiday run in its London and Trafford stores.

Retailer and distributor Art You Grew Up With has added 11 new characters for the occasion including Mr Impossible, Mr Forgetful and Little Miss Helpful and becomes the first firm to personalise the characters made famous by Roger Hargreaves.

Selfridges customers can choose a character, choose the personalisation, order and pay, and collect in 20 minutes.

The British firm, which was established in 1995, makes all its products in the UK and has run gallery shows and signings with childhood favourites Dr Seuss, Peanuts and Peppa Pig in the past.

Russell Singler, CEO of Art You Grew Up With said the Mr Men Christmas pop-up in Selfridges had taken almost nine years of discussions before it was allowed because of licensing issues.

“Over 10,000 personalised art prints were sold in just over 5 weeks, constant queues, responsive hiring growing the team from 2 to 11 to cope with the demand,” he said.
