200 new retail units planned in £1.4 billion Brent Cross revamp

Plans have been submitted for a £1.4 billion regeneration project of Brent Cross Shopping Centre in London, proposing over 200 new retail units.

Hammerson and Standard Life Investments have submitted their plans for the Brent Cross London project, which will see the shopping centre double in size to over 12 million sq ft.

If the plans are approved, construction is expected to start in the beginning of 2018.

Alongside hundreds of new retail units, 60 new restaurants, a state of the art cinema, 7600 parking spaces, an ambitious living bridge and a new Brent town centre.

“Our plans for Brent Cross London are progressive and ambitious,” Standard Life‘s head of UK development James Stevens said.

“We are in discussions with a breadth of retail and leisure brands who are equally excited at becoming part of north London‘s premier shopping centre”.
