Asda has slashed prices on key Easter vegetables to just 8p from today, offering the deal to all customers with no loyalty card required.

Running from 15 to 21 April, the grocer’s promotion includes five core lines: 1kg of carrots, one swede, 360g of broccoli, 500g of parsnips, and 2kg of white potatoes — all priced at 8p each, in-store and online while stocks last.

The supermarket said the deal is part of its continued commitment to offering market-leading prices, particularly around major events like Easter.

The move comes shortly after Morrisons dropped the price of seasonal vegetables for loyalty card members in a bid to drive Easter sales.

Asda shared it was recently named the cheapest traditional supermarket for a larger shop by Which? for the third month running, and also won the top spot in the Good Housekeeping Institute Easter Taste Test 2025.

Though last week, reports emerged that Aldi has now overtaken Asda on food and drink sales in a fresh blow to the embattled supermarket chain.

The German discounter surpassed Asda following higher sales of fresh poultry, fish, eggs and fruit, according to Kantar figures seen by The Telegraph.
