B&M is closing its 20,000 sq ft store on County Road in Walton, Liverpool on 6 November.
Workers at the shop are set to be offered roles at the variety store chain’s other local stores in the surrounding areas, Daily Express reported.
The retailer has other shops in the area, including Clayton Square in Liverpool city centre, Bootle New Strand shopping centre, and The Rock retail park in Birkenhead.
A B&M spokesperson said: “We remain committed to bringing the best possible B&M stores and shopping experience to our customers across Liverpool.
“Customers will continue to find the same great B&M value at our nearby stores, including Great Homer Street and Utting Avenue, both just one mile away, which are home to a Garden Centre and offer an even bigger range of products under one roof.
“All colleagues affected by the closure on November 6 2026, will be offered employment at other local B&M stores in the surrounding area.”
They added: “We’d like to thank our customers for their continued support and look forward to welcoming them into our other Liverpool stores.”
The news comes after B&M unveiled its first “store of the future” in August, with the trial of a raft of new layouts, technology and in-store features.
The company transformed its 24,449sq ft Worthington Way branch in Wigan, which officially relaunched under its new concept on 28 August.
