Amazon has announced it will create 1200 permanent jobs with the construction of a new warehouse situated in Warrington, Cheshire.
The online retail giant will begin recruiting later this year for roles ranging from operations managers, engineers, human resources and IT specialists.
Warrington is one of Amazon‘s four new warehouses, which the retailer calls fulfilment centres, that will open this year.
Earlier this year, the Daventry warehouse began operations while the Warrington site will open in autumn alongside warehouses in Doncaster and Tilbury.
In total, more than 2300 permanent full time jobs will be created between the four warehouses.

In addition, the first dedicated UK receive centre will open in Coventry in 2018 and act as a central hub to receive and sort millions of products sold on Amazon‘s UK website each year.
Recruitment for the Coventry site will begin in 2018 and will create 1650 full time permanent jobs.
All permanent Amazon employees at these warehouses start on £7.65 an hour or more, which increases to £8.15 an hour after their first two years of employment.
In addition, all permanent employees working in Amazon‘s warehouses receive stock grants, which over the last five years equal to £1000 or more per year per employee.
Amazon said it was increasing the size of its UK network to meet increasing customer demands.
The company currently has 12 fulfilment centres in the UK, including Doncaster, Coalville, Daventry, Dunfermline, Dunstable, Gourock, Hemel Hempstead, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Rugeley and Swansea Bay.
